Possible Phone/Bank Scam
This happened to one of our residents.
"I was phoned yesterday morning . There was a female-voiced recorded message saying something like, 'This is an important security announcement from Lloyds TSB. Please press any key.' I immediately put the phone down and emailed Lloyds. I received this phone call 3 times. Lloyds have emailed me back to say that they have no record of trying to call me."
I have heard of scams where either the phone bill racks up, or they go through a purported security check and get your personal details. I suggest that you put the phone straight down on such calls and contact your bank.
